Functionality of the Axapta Retail Based on Specific Retail Features in Logistics |
Orders | |
Registration of retail sales processes in the
Axapta Retail
solution is fully automatic.
|
A special module that controls the equipment in the sales
area draws up a z-report on sales at the end of the day. The
report is then automatically uploaded into the module “Orders”.
|
After all z-reports have been received, this module automatically
forms a summary invoice, which is later distributed to all shops.
|
Stock Management | |
In Axapta Retail,
an assortment tree expands the product directory,
which is a typical feature of any system. In this way, the
users are able to structure their stock list for their required
degree of detail.
|
The assortment tree may later be used to make various reports
(on purchases, sales, stock and analysis) more convenient.
|
Any changes in the stock-list are sent to the sales area control
module, which in turn sends this information to POS terminals
and the computerized weighing scales.
|
Consolidated Planning | |
In
Axapta Retail,
the extremely complex and time-consuming
process of drawing up the daily purchase order in the trading
chain is made automatic.
|
Every day, the system gets the data of the day’s sales
from all stores and uses them to create the purchase offer.
|
In order to finalize the purchase orders for suppliers, the
purchase manager only needs to look through this list and
correct it, if necessary.
|
Bar Codes | |
Axapta Retail
supports the bar code technology. There are
4 types of bar codes present in the system.
|
The system supports the individual external bar code that
is given to the product by the manufacturer. If there is no
such bar code or if it is damaged, the system uses a special
algorithm to assign an internal bar code to the product.
|
There are two types of weight bar codes for products sold
by the weight. Packages (for instance, cigarette cartons)
are assigned their own bar code, which is different from the
code of the product inside.
