KORUS Consulting has finished theproject on implementation of an industry solution for retail networks Axapta Retail in two retail networks of Victoria group of companies - Moscow discounter shops Deshevo and Quartal shops.

Within this project the following business processes were automated with Axapta Retail: goods range management, purchases and shops supply, retail pricing and promotional actions, goods flow in shops, vendor relationships, production management, sales analysis amd others.

As head of KORUS Consulting retail direction Alexander Rahmanov says, the project was interesting not only because demands of all divisions of the company were considered (Moscow, Kaliningrad, St.-Petersburg), but also because information system development was carried out together with re-organization of the company. Thus the system handles not only existing business processes of retail networks but also a number of innovative business management models. The following Victoria specific demands were realized on the basis of standard Axapta Retail functionality:

• articles range matrix management in shops;
• stock replenishment from vendors and distribution centers;
• retail pricing management;
• centralized management of remote production departments concerning registration of shops demand, raw material and finished production, distribution and delivery control.

Within this project the system configuration was created which consists of many Axapta Retail installations joined within directoried and documents exchange replication circuit. This decision was made due to a necessity to provide ability of the system in all shops of the company despite of communications channels quality.

Alexander Rahmanov also noted that the team of Victoria specialists has been trained in order to perform further implementation of the system in subdivisions. This time, two months after the project started, this team connects new shops to the system.

As head of IT department of Moscow division of Victoria Mikhail Osadchiy says, information that heading staff of the company operates has become more actual and true due to Axapta Retail. The system allowed to automate planning of such operations as stock replenishment and vendor relationships. Due to schedules and data input control mechanisms mistakes caused by human factor were cut.

Positive results of the project have become the basis for prolongation of cooperation of two companies Ц this time the project on automation of large distribution center. In the future it is planned to automate budget management with budgeting, management planning and control system Geac Performance Management (Comshare MPC).
